Personal details of David Jordan

After studying at Queen's University, Belfast (1968-1972) and Leeds University (1972-1974), I came to Sheffield in 1974. Apart from a year as Associate Professor at the University of Utah, I have been here ever since, first as Junior Research Fellow, then Lecturer, Reader, and Professor in Pure Mathematics. I am now retired. I am married to Camilla Jordan, formerly Staff Tutor in Mathematics and Computing in the Yorkshire region of the Open University but now retired. We have two sons, Jonathan, now a senior lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Statistics in Sheffield, and Thomas, now a senior lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Bristol.
